11-Herbs and Spices Fried Chicken

Great fried chicken no longer a secret!

Ingredients:

2 cups of buttermilk

2 eggs

8 chicken drumsticks

8 cups of vegetable oil

Herbs and Spices Mix:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp thyme

1/2 tbs basil

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp celery salt

1/2 tbs black pepper

1 tbs dried mustard

2 tbs paprika

2 tbs garlic salt

1 tbs ginger

1 tbs white pepper

Directions:

  1. Beat the eggs into the buttermilk.

  2. Add the chicken pieces to the buttermilk and eggs mixture and marinate for at least 1 hour.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour with the herbs and spices blend.

  4. Coat the soaked chicken pieces in the herbed flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  5. Heat oil in a large sauce pan or deep fryer to 325 F.

  6. Fry chicken in batches until the chicken is cooked and the skin turns golden brown.

  7. Serve.

Put the flour and chicken in a zip-lock bag and shake to ensure an even coat of flour on the chicken.
