Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and delicious!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter or margarine (softened)

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup

1 egg

3 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 package of chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Mix together flour, baking soda and salt together until evenly incorporated.

  3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy with mixer. Beat in corn syrup, egg and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour, baking soda and salt mixture until combined.

  4. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets.

  5. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool for 1 to 2 minutes on pan, remove from pan to wire racks.

Makes: 24 cookies
