Dr. Jendai Robinson, Ph.D.
Dr. Jendai Robinson, originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Virginia State University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Robinson has completed several internships, many of which with NASA and has published a number of peer-reviewed publications. She is more than just “JenDaChemist” or Dr. Robinson although being a female-minority in the hard sciences is nothing to talk light of. More specifically, as a first-generation student she was able to complete her Ph.D. at just 26 years old. After applying for and being awarded a NASA Harriet G. Jenkins Fellowship in the first year of her graduate studies, she was able to secure over $100,000 in grant funding allowing her to graduate from her Ph.D. program without loan financing.
But it does not stop there, Jendai has many interests and passions outside of the science world which includes but is not limited to traveling, fashion and finance as well as cooking and youth mentoring. When Dr. Robinson is able to take a break from her busy schedule she indulges in travel and has been to over 25 countries. As her interests in fashion grew, Dr. Robinson formed her own company Jendai Robinson, LLC so that she can continue to make her fashion visions a reality. Furthermore, Jendai enjoys cooking and spends a fair amount of time experimenting with different recipes! Although she seems to have plenty on her plate already, she continues to give back to the community by volunteering time to service, maintaining her position as a STEM role model and engaging thousands with her personal career story through public speaking engagements which has caused her to be mentioned in a number of press articles.
